Teams will practice once a week for the duration of the season.  Practice days are normally held on Monday’s, Tuesday’s, or Thursday’s.  On rare occasions practices will be held on Wednesday’s or Saturday’s. 

We cannot assign players teams based on the days they can practice.  Practices are usually scheduled around the volunteer coaches schedule.

Practices last for 1 hour.

Practices will be scheduled at either 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. or
                                                          6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

We ask that all kid’s bring wear cleats, shinguards, short/sweats, bring water, and bring their ball.

Coaches are responsible for showing up to practice on time, communicating with parents on changes, and bringing any necessary equipment.  It is acceptable to have a team parent to help with communication or set up drinks and snacks.  Drinks and snacks are not required by GUSC after games.

Practices will be held at either Gardner Park Elementary, Bess Elementary, Robinson Elementary, or Forestview High School.

Practice Cancellations:  GUSC will communicate to all recreation coaches when practice is canceled due to bad weather.  GUSC will not cancel for cold or if it is a slight rain.  Practice cancellations can also be found on the home page of the website if it is club wide. 
     Process:
          *If inclement weather has occurred for most of the day a decision to cancel practices club-wide will be made by 3:30 p.m.  Cancellations will be posted on the website, phone calls and emails will be sent to the coaches.  Coaches should notify parents by phone and email.  *The same process will be used for games as well, with the decision being made by 4:00 p.m.
