Coaches Tatum Bourque and Jeff Phillips have been named Hickory Tavern Coaches of the Year for the fall season by the executive board. Coach Tatum coaches the U16 Girls and U16 Boys and manages all GUSC coaches, while Coach Jeff oversees GUSC’s Academy and Recreation divisions. "We have seen steady growth at the Recreation and Academy levels, and Coach Jeff – with his enthusiasm and love for the club – can take much of the credit," the board said. "Coach Tatum continues to be GUSC’s most respected coach, and is always willing to do more whenever asked." Both coaches have been presented with Hickory Tavern (located at 1925 Hoffman Road in Gastonia) gifts certificates. 

PLUS: All COACHES and MANAGERS  will receive a 20 percent discount at Hickory Tavern (Gastonia location only) from Dec. 25 through May 15. Managers and coaches will be asked to show proof of GUSC affiliation.
