GUSC would like to welcome the following coaches to our community.
GUSC would like to welcome MS. TINA WEAVER
Ms. Tina Weaver is currently the Head Women’s Coach for
Limestone
College , a Division II school. She has been with the Limestone soccer program since 2006. Tina also coached at
Lakeland
College in
Wisconsin from 2004-2006. Tina played collegiate level soccer at
Western
Carolina
University as a goal keeper from 2000-2003. While at
Western Carolina she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management and later received her Master’s of Business Administration at
Lakeland
College in
Wisconsin . She holds the record for fourth in the SoCon Conference in goals against average with 1.11 and also holds the record at Western with 1.11 career goals against average. Tina has also coached high school level soccer in 2005-2006 in
Wisconsin . Tina also holds an USSF C License. Tina will be coaching our 95 girl’s teams for this year. We are excited to have Tina coaching with us.
GUSC would like to welcome MS. BRITTNEY BOYLE
Ms. Brittney Boyle recently has moved into
Gaston
County and works at Gaston Rehab Associates. Brittney also came from coaching at South Charlotte Soccer Club in which she led her last team to and unbeaten record. She graduated from
Queens
University in
Charlotte with a degree in management. Brittney was recruited to play for
Queens and played soccer for two years until a knee injury forced her to break away from college soccer. Brittney will be coaching our U-12 girl’s team this year. We are excited to have Brittney in our community.
GUSC would like to welcome MR. NESTOR BRUNEL
Mr. Nestor Brunel has moved into the area from New Tampa, Florida. Mr. Brunel has a wealth of coaching experience. He was the head coach at NTSA in
Tampa . Nestor has high credentials in the area of goalkeeping. He holds a USSF “C” license for coaching, a goalkeeper license, Level 5 from Frans Hoek Sports Holland, a License Level 1,2, and 3 from USSF, a coaching license from NSCAA in California and many others. Nestor has also played goalkeeper for the Uruguay National Team from 1983-1985 New York, Brooklyn Cosmos in New York, 9 de Octubre, Ecuador Goalkeeper – A Division, and has played goalkeeper for many other clubs since 1971. Nestor will be training our goalkeepers and coaching our U11 Challenge Boys team. We are excited to have Nestor coaching with us.
